Christmas Card Solution

Of course this is way too late to do for this season.  I meant to post about this a few weeks ago, but we know how life goes... Something to add to the "to-do" list for next year, perhaps?

A few years ago I made this SUPER simple way to display the mountains of Christmas cards we get every year.  It's very simple (and cheap!) to make and displays a few dozen cards with ease for us to enjoy throughout the holiday season.

The instructions are simple:

1.  Find a sturdy plastic hanger.  Decorate if you wish, I chose a green one, so no need to decorate.

2.  Cut three or four lengths of the ribbon of your choice to about 2 1/2 to 3 feet long (depending on how much wall space you will want to use).

3. Wrap the top bit of ribbon around the bottom of the hanger and superglue (or sew if you are feeling particularly fancy) the ribbon to itself around the other side to secure it.

4. Find a nail and hammer it into the wall.  You can then hang your hanger with draping ribbon from the nail.

5. Every time you get a card, use a clothespin to attach the card to the ribbon.  I use plain clothespins but eventually would love to paint them silver and gold for the occasion.
